Infersens makes #21toWatch 2023 shortlist

Infersens’ deep learning sensor technology is on the #21toWatch 2023 shortlist for innovations (‘things’).

The #21toWatch campaign and award programme showcases the next generation of innovators across the East of England. Infersens is one of 43 people, companies and ‘things’ on this year’s shortlist that will be assessed by the judging panel according to five strict criteria: innovation, challenge, influence, viability and memorability.

Infersens was shortlisted for its game-changing technology, which enables deep learning (a performance-improving subset of machine learning) to be executed “on board” a device in the field using only battery power. Its deep learning sensor technology is eco-efficient and cost-saving and is projected to deliver immediate results in multiple use cases across the built environment and beyond.

Infersens COO, Jana Voigt, says: “To be shortlisted in #21toWatch 2023 is great recognition for our technology and a testament to the team’s hard work. In October 2022, Infersens announced its first application, Legionella water system monitoring, at tinyML EMEA Innovation Forum in Cyprus. The new product – planned for Q1 this year – is a low-cost, water flow and temperature sensor that uses Syntiant’s state-of-the-art Neural Decision Processor™. In the UK alone, there are 7.6 million properties where regulation demands that owners monitor the risks of Legionella.

The #21toWatch 2023 Top21 will be announced at the awards event on 2 March 2023.
